DevOps Team Lead (FedRAMP)

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Phoenix, AZ; Washington, D.C.; Hoboken, NJ; or Dallas, TX (Hybrid role).

What you will do

• Lead and coach a team of DevOps engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in architecture and implementation.
• Design and operate Azure Government Cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Manage secure CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows within the FedRAMP compliance boundary.
• Oversee AKS clusters, Istio service mesh, and WAF configurations following Zero Trust principles.
• Maintain system observability using Open Telemetry and Prometheus/Grafana to ensure high availability.
• Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams on audits, continuous monitoring, and POA&M remediation.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain or hold an active security clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of DevOps/SRE experience and 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong background in FedRAMP Moderate or High compliant environments.
• Expertise in Terraform, AKS, Helm, Istio, and Azure DevOps.
• Deep understanding of NIST 800-53 and federal security control requirements.
• Proven ability to work in a hybrid capacity within one of the specified U.S. office locations.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kafka and distributed system architectures.
• Experience with Azure API Management, Logic Apps, and Cosmos DB optimization.
• Strong scripting proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash.
