TL;DR

Salary: $255,000 – $325,000 + equity

What you will do

• Build evaluation and data foundations for next-generation personalized and multimodal AI systems.
• Partner with researchers to translate behavioral questions into rigorous evaluations, datasets, and scorecards.
• Design and implement human-data pipelines, grader systems, and experiment infrastructure.
• Develop reproducible pipelines for processing and analyzing multimodal signals from product usage.
• Shape infrastructure and methodology to support personalization, adaptation, and model evaluation.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in San Francisco, CA (Hybrid role).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building data, backend, or ML systems.
• Experience with evaluation tooling, annotation pipelines, or experimentation platforms.
• Rigorous approach to data quality, metric design, and empirical correctness.
• Strong research taste and judgment regarding metric design and evaluation.
