Copywriter (AI/Design)

Recraft is a graphic design research lab building AI image-generation models, creative tools, an API, and a mobile app for designers, illustrators, marketers, and developers.

What you will do

• Develop and evolve Recraft’s tone-of-voice guidelines across all channels.
• Write launch copy, social posts, release announcements, and campaign materials for new models and features.
• Create scripts and copy for motion videos, tutorials, interviews, and other storytelling formats.
• Write and edit SEO-focused blog articles that remain useful and engaging.
• Collaborate with product and design on UX copy for onboarding, empty states, tooltips, and feature descriptions.
• Test new models in Recraft Studio, identify compelling use cases, and help name models, features, and products.

Requirements

• Design background in graphic, brand, type, UI, or editorial work, or extensive experience working closely with designers.
• Excellent written English at C2 level or equivalent, with natural, idiomatic, publication-ready writing.
• Portfolio of published articles, blogs, newsletters, social accounts, or shipped product copy.
• Ability to write across launch posts, long-form articles, UX copy, and other formats while maintaining a consistent voice.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and strong curiosity about design culture and practice.

Nice to have

• Personal blog, newsletter, or Substack about design, type, visual culture, or AI.
• SEO writing, UX writing, content design, naming, or video and motion scriptwriting experience.
• Experience at a design tool, creative technology company, or design studio.
