Application Support Engineer

What you will do

• Manage production incidents across complex systems, including triage, investigation, and resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis to reduce recurring issues and improve system stability.
• Troubleshoot Java/J2EE enterprise applications across middleware, JVM, database, and integration layers.
• Provide Oracle database support using advanced SQL and PL/SQL.
• Maintain integrations across REST APIs, batch jobs, and messaging components.
• Develop scripts and automation tools using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Requirements

• Must be available for on-site work in South Melbourne.
• 5+ years of experience in application support or software development.
• Proven capability in troubleshooting Java/J2EE applications and multi-tier systems.
• Strong experience with Oracle databases and SQL/PLSQL.
• Disciplined approach to change control, incident response, and SLA-driven environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
