Senior DBA (SQL Server/PostgreSQL): Stabilizing and optimizing SQL Server databases for a multi-country nursing home management system with an accent on performance tuning, data integrity, and scalability. Focus on database consolidation during codebase merge and supporting future migration to PostgreSQL.

Location: Fully remote from Armenia or Georgia

What you will do

• Analyze and optimize existing database structures and stored procedures
• Support database consolidation during codebase merge ensuring performance and stability
• Identify inconsistencies between database forks and improve indexing and query performance
• Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the merge phase
• Collaborate closely with PHP developers and Delivery Lead
• Contribute to the future migration strategy from SQL Server to PostgreSQL

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years experience as a DBA
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL
• Experience with large, complex databases and legacy systems
• Backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning skills
• Location: Must be based in Armenia or Georgia

Nice to have

• Experience with database migration (SQL Server to PostgreSQL)
• AWS RDS experience
• Schema refactoring and CI/CD for databases
• Experience in transformation/modernization projects
