What you will do

• Define and drive multi-year application security strategy aligned with company priorities
• Identify and own high-impact initiatives to reduce systemic product security risks
• Establish scalable secure design reviews, threat modeling, code review, and security testing practices
• Lead application security architecture reviews for high-risk product initiatives
• Drive automation-first approaches to increase security coverage with minimal engineering friction
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Privacy, and Detection & Response teams for end-to-end security
• Define and track security metrics and KPIs measuring risk reduction and program effectiveness
• Recruit, develop, and coach security engineers and managers to build a high-performing team culture

Requirements

• Location: Must work onsite in Bellevue or Los Angeles, United States
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience; 9+ years security experience or advanced degree with relevant experience
• 2+ years managing managers or providing technical and strategic leadership in security engineering
• Deep expertise in application security, secure architecture, OWASP Top 10, and modern attack techniques
• Experience building and scaling secure SDLC programs and security testing methodologies (SAST, DAST, SCA, fuzzing)
• Strong development background (Python, Go, Java) and knowledge of cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, GCP, AWS)
• English: Perfectly fluent (C1) required

• Experience leading application security in large consumer technology companies
• Familiarity with privacy-by-design, secure data handling, zero-trust environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Experience collaborating across engineering, legal, privacy, and executive stakeholders
