Bi Engineer (Gamedev)

TL;DR

BI Engineer (Gamedev): Developing and maintaining Looker dashboards to surface in-app metrics for PuzzlePlay, user acquisition channels, and company-wide metrics, with an accent on data modeling and high-scale reporting. Focus on identifying suspicious user flows and leading investigations into metric irregularities to protect PuzzlePlay from fraudulent behavior.

Location: Hybrid in Vilnius, Lithuania. You will work in the office 3 days a week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a third day of your choice, with 20 business days for remote working.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Looker dashboards and reports to surface major in-app metrics.
• Design metric logic, build aggregate tables, and own data modeling for high-scale reporting.
• Create business-facing documentation, including metric definitions and dashboard guides.
• Work with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Product teams to incorporate new data sources and metrics.
• Write custom SQL rules to identify suspicious user flows, login patterns, and redemption behavior.
• Lead investigations into irregularities in the metrics, combining data from multiple sources to answer complex questions.

Requirements

• Experience building out reports within Looker (or a relevant BI tool, Looker preferred).
• Extensive experience in SQL (Snowflake, Bigquery etc.), including complex joins and pattern-recognition queries.
• Experience in a Data Analytics & BI role, delivering and maintaining metrics and dashboards.
• Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to organizing code, data, dashboards, and documentation.
• Comfort manipulating large datasets for exploratory analysis and investigations.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting findings and recommendations.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python/R).
• Proficiency in Looker APIs.
• Experience in a mobile app / ad tech / gaming company.
• Experience with product and user acquisition teams.
