What you will do

• Lead technical execution across product discovery, delivery, and iteration phases.
• Translate product requirements into scalable and maintainable implementations.
• Drive engineering standards including code reviews, testing, performance, security, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers through feedback and practical guidance.
• Align cross-functionally on dependencies, APIs, and release planning.
• Continuously reduce technical debt to keep the platform adaptable.

Requirements

• Several years of professional software engineering and technical leadership experience.
• Strong experience with Kotlin, Typescript, SQL, and Spring Boot in SaaS environments.
• Proven software architecture and system design skills for scalable SaaS systems.
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and working across system boundaries.
• Strong communication skills and professional fluency in English.
• Location: Must be able to work onsite in Vienna with hybrid schedule

Nice to have

• Cloud and operations experience (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloudflare).
• Search and data tooling like Elasticsearch or Apache Solr.
• Experience with messaging/event-streaming systems (Apache Kafka or similar).
• Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda or similar).
• General frontend development knowledge.
