What you will do

• Design and build backend systems for pension and retirement savings products including contribution and onboarding flows
• Own technical architecture decisions for the Investments stream
• Integrate with external pension and savings providers via robust, well-tested APIs
• Collaborate with product leads, frontend engineers, and integrations team to deliver seamless end-to-end features
• Improve system stability and observability continuously
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to code reviews and planning

Requirements

• 6+ years experience building backend systems in production
• Proficiency with .NET 8, PostgreSQL, and Azure or AWS cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of data modelling, event-driven patterns, and building for correctness and auditability
• Experience designing and maintaining integrations with third-party APIs
• Focus on reliability, security, and compliance in financial services
• Ability to contribute to product design and make technical decisions
• English: B2+ proficiency assumed
