TL;DR

Backend Technical Leader (AI): Leading design and development of a large-scale AI knowledge-base platform focusing on backend data layers and scalable solutions. With an accent on system design, cloud environments, and AI agentic workloads. Focus on designing high-quality, performant backend services, evaluating new AI technologies, and collaborating cross-functionally.

Location: Tel Aviv, Israel with hybrid work environment and in-office expectations

What you will do

Lead design and technological decisions in a large-scale AI platform project.
Develop and optimize backend data layers for agentic AI workloads.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Promote best practices for software quality and creativity.
Evaluate and integrate new AI technologies and advancements.

Requirements

At least 8 years of backend development and software design experience.
Relevant BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong system design and architecture skills.
Proficiency in Python or Node.js and experience with SQL & NoSQL databases.
Understanding of DevOps concepts from a developer perspective (CI/CD, IaaC).
Location: Must be based in or able to work in Tel Aviv, Israel with hybrid work setup.

Nice to have

Experience with production RAG pipelines and AI agents.
Experience with data platforms, ETL systems, and distributed messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Experience with microservices architecture.
