Location: Work from almost anywhere in the world (Work From Anywhere policy). Hybrid option available if based in Vilnius/Kaunas (up to two remote days per week).

Salary: €6,000–€7,200/month (gross)

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve high-traffic, business-critical backend services (primarily in Go).
• Lead and influence architectural decisions from domain modeling to deployment strategies.
• Drive the evolution of the service platform together with senior and lead engineers.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges, proposing pragmatic, long-term solutions.
• Own complex technical initiatives end-to-end, from design to production rollout.
• Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code while raising engineering standards across the team.

Requirements

• Strong experience building production-grade backend systems.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, distributed systems, and API design.
• Experience with databases, messaging systems, and service-oriented or event-driven architectures.
• Ability to reason about concurrency, performance, and reliability.
• Confidence participating in architectural discussions and technical decision-making.

Nice to have

• Experience building or scaling systems serving millions of requests.
• Hands-on production experience with Go.
• Strong understanding of observability, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Contributed to modernizing or evolving backend platforms.
