What you will do

• Manage, optimize, and ensure the stability of Oracle and cloud-native ecosystems.
• Pivot the database stack toward full automation, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Architects to design, implement, and scale database engines.
• Apply an SDLC approach to infrastructure changes using CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in database engineering with a primary focus on Oracle (19c or later).
• 3+ years managing mission-critical Oracle databases on AWS (RDS Custom or EC2).
• Proven proficiency in EITHER Infrastructure as Code using Terraform OR advanced scripting/development using Python.
• Advanced experience with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data integration and migration.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Foglight, DataDog, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Possession of OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) or OCM (Oracle Certified Master) credentials.
• Familiarity with open-source replication tools like Debezium.
• Hands-on experience with DynamoDB.
• AWS Certified Database - Specialty.
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
