Audit Analyst - Technology

TL;DR

Audit Analyst (Technology): Supporting the delivery of high-quality audits by owning the design, operational evaluation, and testing of key controls with an accent on IT general controls, infrastructure, cyber security, and data risk. Focus on assessing run and change controls across applications, legacy and cloud infrastructure, and operational resilience frameworks.

Location: Hybrid in Edinburgh or Bristol, UK (at least two days per week in office)

Salary: £48,000–£53,100

• Contribute to the audit plan and take ownership of audit activities as directed.
• Test controls and identify areas of concern, articulating potential challenges.
• Help senior colleagues and build meaningful stakeholder relationships.
• Conduct research considering multiple perspectives and external trends for analysis.
• Suggest improvements in current audit processes.
• Proactively identify, address, and drive personal development opportunities.

Requirements

• Ability to lead and take ownership for delivery, championing colleagues' growth.
• Ability to deliver risk and control assurance activity that is timely, impactful, insightful, and valued.
• Ability to understand Group and Business Unit Strategy and connect audit delivery and business monitoring insights.
• Ability to analyse, understand, and communicate data as information to drive effective audit outcomes.
• Ability to prioritise your work and that of others effectively for timely and valuable delivery.
• Experience in at least one of these areas: applications & controls, infrastructure (including cloud), cyber security and resilience, change & transformation, data risk, or payment systems.
