What you will do
- Implement and extend systemic gameplay systems that support a systemic game (simulation logic, progression, UI-driven interactions, and player tools).
- Own small-to-medium gameplay tasks, clarifying requirements, implementing in Unreal, iterating from playtest feedback, and delivering stable features.
- Create maintainable gameplay code in Unreal Engine (C++ and/or Blueprints) with attention to performance, data-driven design, and readability.
- Integrate gameplay features with UI, VFX, audio, and other content pipelines.
- Help diagnose and fix issues using debugging tools, logs, and profiling basics.
- Document implementation decisions and patterns as needed.
Requirements
- Experience building gameplay features in Unreal Engine with C++ and Blueprints.
- Strong foundation in programming fundamentals (data structures, debugging, version control etc.).
- Interest in systemic/simulation-oriented games and their challenges.
- Ability to provide and receive critical feedback professionally.
- Complete or near complete undergraduate college experience in CS/engineering or related field, intensive training program, or equivalent experience.
- Must be based in the US, Canada, Central, or South America.
