What you will do

• Architect services aggregating domain APIs, focusing on caching, resilience, and event streaming integration.
• Drive migration of legacy web pages using strangler and incremental rollout patterns to improve UX and performance.
• Design scalable GraphQL schemas with clear service boundaries and ownership.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals and reduce bundle footprint using data-driven profiling.
• Establish CI/CD quality gates, testing standards, and performance telemetry dashboards.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design critiques, pairing, and growth planning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack or web services development experience.
• 3+ years of technical leadership experience in a production environment.
• Deep expertise in GraphQL schema design, federation, and caching at scale.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Kotlin, or Java for production API architecture.
• Proven ability to deliver multi-quarter platform initiatives and migration projects.
• Strong communication skills, capable of producing concise technical RFCs and data-backed proposals.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Server Components or Streaming SSR.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and Aurora.
• Expertise in event-driven design using Kafka and pub/sub patterns.
• Familiarity with security best practices such as OWASP and OAuth 2.0.
