Software Engineer

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fullstack): Develops basic to moderately complex code using front and back-end languages across multiple platforms for internal and external client software solutions with an accent on application/database interactions and PCI compliance. Focus on designing program specifications, analyzing and modifying code, performing testing, and participating in client meetings to determine solution approaches.

What you will do

• Develop code using front and/or back-end languages in collaboration with business and technology teams.
• Design, create, and deliver program specifications for multiple projects.
• Analyze, modify, and test moderately complex code, including unit testing and validation.
• Participate in client-facing meetings and vendor discussions to determine solution approaches.
• Support enforcement of application standards, including PCI security compliance.
• Provide resource estimates and guidance to other engineers.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years professional experience in coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data.
• Advanced knowledge of one or more front/back-end languages/technologies (e.g., Java, Python, .NET, HTML, JavaScript).
• Moderate understanding of corresponding end technologies, APIs, relational/NoSQL databases.

Nice to have

• 6+ years experience.
• Experience with IBM Rational Tools.
• Familiarity with OS like Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL), Windows, z/OS, Tandem/HP-Nonstop.
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL, IMS, DB2, Hadoop.
• Web frameworks: Node.js, React, Angular; Tools: Eclipse, Visual Studio.
