Systems Engineer

TL;DR

Systems Engineer: Building and optimizing IT infrastructure and systems environments with an accent on Linux and Windows operating systems, automation, and CI/CD platforms. Focus on managing infrastructure, web/application servers, and ensuring robust monitoring and security protocols.

Location: Hybrid (2 times a week in the Lisbon office). Requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit.

What you will do

• Manage and support Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Implement and maintain scheduling tools (BMC/Control-M).
• Develop and automate processes using Shell, Python, and PowerShell scripting.
• Deploy and manage systems using CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, XL Deploy/Release, Ansible).
• Oversee infrastructure backup solutions and monitoring with Zabbix and Grafana.
• Administer network and application services (LDAP, Firewalls, Active Directory, Kerberos, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IIS).

Requirements

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with scheduling tools (BMC/Control-M) and scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
• Working experience with automation and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, XL Deploy/Release, Ansible).
• Practical experience managing and supporting infrastructure backup solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana).
• Solid understanding of LDAP, Firewalls, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory, Kerberos.
• Experience with web servers and application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IIS).
• English language skills at least B2 level.
• Availability for a hybrid work model, 2 times a week in the Lisbon office.
• Requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit.
