TL;DR

Senior Environment Artist (Game Art): Developing and optimizing complex photo-realistic 3D models for game maps and hangars with an accent on improving workflows and introducing new tools. Focus on organizing internal material libraries and participating in asset pool planning for World of Tanks.

Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in the Prague office). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the Czech Republic at the time of application. Relocation support is provided.

What you will do

  • Create complex environment assets, including buildings, modular architectural sets, and photorealistic nature assets like mountains, rocks, and trees.
  • Create props fitting specific biomes or architectural settings.
  • Mentor junior team members and supervise their work, ensuring quality standards.
  • Work on organizing and improving the internal material library.
  • Create photorealistic materials and textures.
  • Collaborate with Game Designers, Level Artists, Tech Artists, and Art Director to align environments and assets with budgets, quality, and art vision.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Environment Art experience in the video game industry.
  • Proven ability to create high-quality photorealistic models and textures of AAA quality.
  • Solid knowledge of Maya (or Blender), Zbrush, Photoshop, and Substance products.
  • Strong understanding of classic content production pipeline (LP, HP, NM Bake, Texturing, LODing).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced English (C1) or higher.

Nice to have

  • Strong understanding of architecture, color, shapes, and composition.
  • Experience in material creation and understanding of PBR workflow.
  • Experience working with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary engines).
  • Understanding of Houdini workflow.
