Software Engineer (Fintech, C++)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fintech, C++): Designing and developing secure software components for payment capture terminals with an accent on traditional card and evolving mobile payment technologies. Location: Must be based in Belfast, United Kingdom and be eligible to work there on a full time and permanent basis.

What you will do

• Design and develop applications for traditional card and evolving mobile payment technologies, including Smart Card, Contactless Cards, Android Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.
• Write high-quality, object-oriented, easily maintainable production code primarily in C++.
• Develop secure software, using hardware acceleration and trusted computing modules for sensitive payment data.
• Implement secure end-to-end transactions featuring synchronous and asynchronous cryptographic algorithms and digital signatures.
• Utilize SOAP and JSON based web technologies as both client and server within the payment ecosystem.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, to verification and release.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• Working experience in C++ or the ability to learn C++ if you have a C background.
• Experience with at least one of XML, JSON, or HTML.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be proactive, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and able to work well under pressure.
• Eligibility to work in the UK on a full time and permanent basis.

Nice to have

• Good knowledge of core Object Oriented Design practices.
• Experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring.
• Experience in Linux development.
