TL;DR
Software Engineer (Fintech, C++): Designing and developing secure software components for payment capture terminals with an accent on traditional card and evolving mobile payment technologies. What you will do
- Design and develop applications for traditional card and evolving mobile payment technologies, including Smart Card, Contactless Cards, Android Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.
- Write high-quality, object-oriented, easily maintainable production code primarily in C++.
- Develop secure software, using hardware acceleration and trusted computing modules for sensitive payment data.
- Implement secure end-to-end transactions featuring synchronous and asynchronous cryptographic algorithms and digital signatures.
- Utilize SOAP and JSON based web technologies as both client and server within the payment ecosystem.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, to verification and release.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- Working experience in C++ or the ability to learn C++ if you have a C background.
- Experience with at least one of XML, JSON, or HTML.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be proactive, self-motivated, attentive to detail, and able to work well under pressure.
- Eligibility to work in the UK on a full time and permanent basis.
Nice to have
- Good knowledge of core Object Oriented Design practices.
- Experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring.
- Experience in Linux development.
