What you will do

  • Contribute to the architecture of the billing platform to help it scale and support rapid growth.
  • Build reusable, well-defined APIs for product consumption.
  • Monitor for performance and accuracy of customer billing.
  • Develop automated tools to enable customer and support teams for self-service billing operations.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and product managers on design and code reviews, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Identify classes of problems across the system and propose long-term engineering roadmap solutions.

Requirements

  • Background with critical stable systems of scale.
  • Experience with real-time debugging and outages.
  • Experience building high-performance backend data models.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building, launching, and maintaining 2+ large production backend systems.
  • Deep experience with cloud-deployed solutions.
  • Strong backend programming experience (Python, Java, C#, Node.js, Ruby, etc.).
  • Experience designing backends based on microservices architecture.
