What you will do

• Architect and scale foundational native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) applications to support agentic workflows, multi-turn conversations, and real-time AI interactions.
• Lead the implementation of mobile-specific AI capabilities, focusing on low-latency streaming, multi-modal inputs, and agentic state management.
• Take full ownership of the mobile development lifecycle from initial architectural specs to deployment, CI/CD optimization on AWS, and production reliability.
• Mentor engineers across all levels through thoughtful code reviews, helping them level up their mobile and AI craft.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on complex challenges, such as offline syncing of agent states and high-volume data pipelines.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a deep focus on native mobile development.
• Proven expertise in both Swift and Kotlin, comfortable leading technical decisions and reviewing code across both platforms.
• Track record of Staff-level Leadership, leading multi-quarter projects, fleshing out requirements, and driving technical strategy for a mobile organization.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to drive engineering velocity and code quality.
• Strong experience with mobile design patterns, threading, and memory management, specifically as it relates to handling long-running asynchronous AI tasks.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python, Elixir, React, and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with GraphQL for efficient mobile data fetching and real-time subscriptions.
• Experience with modern agent frameworks or implementing multi-step reasoning and orchestration patterns on mobile devices.
