Location: This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $166,000 - $195,000 USD (Zone 1: Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY)

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services and distributed systems that support high-volume crypto trading activity.
• Design, implement, test, and release product-facing features with strict correctness and scalability requirements.
• Develop and refine REST APIs that serve millions of customers, partnering closely with frontend engineers.
• Identify and implement improvements that increase system throughput, reduce latency, and minimize operational risk.
• Contribute to long-term architecture decisions that improve maintainability and support continued growth in trading volume.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building highly concurrent or distributed systems, with a strong understanding of API design principles.
• A track record of contributing to large, complex systems with sustained impact over time.
• Sound technical judgment and the ability to prioritize work that aligns with team and business goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex engineering challenges.
• English: B2 required.
