Backend Developer (Fintech, AI)

Student Backend Developer (Fintech, AI): Supporting in building and integrating services for a group-wide data and marketing platform with an accent on developing backend services, APIs, and automation scripts. Location: Hybrid (Vienna, Austria)

Compensation: EUR 1,319 - EUR 1,648 per month (for 20-25h/week)

What you will do

• Support Platform and Feature Teams in developing and maintaining backend services and internal tools.
• Assist in implementing small features, APIs, or automation scripts for data and marketing platforms.
• Contribute to integrations between different platform components (e.g., data services, event-based systems).
• Work closely with experienced Developers and DevOps Engineers in an agile setup.
• Gain hands-on experience with modern cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise-scale applications.
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency in daily tasks and engineering activities.

Requirements

• Ongoing studies in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Fluent English skills.
• First programming experience in any language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python).
• Basic understanding of software development concepts or REST APIs.
• Interest in cloud technologies and modern software platforms.
• Structured working style and willingness to learn in a cross-functional agile team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git, Jira or similar collaboration tools.
• German or CEE languages are a plus.
