Senior Consulting Engineer (ClickHouse)

Senior Consulting Engineer (hirify.global): Deliver consultative support and project engineering for hirify.global enterprise customers with an accent on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation of scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems. Focus on providing architectural and technical assistance, handling high-tier support cases, and contributing to product roadmap development in a global, distributed environment.

Location: Remote (Global) with occasional regional travel (APJ)

What you will do

• Lead project engineering focusing on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation for enterprise customers.
• Provide case-initiated consultative support, including implementation, onboarding, production launches, and migration assistance.
• Handle L1 to L3 support cases as a member of the global support team.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to influence the product roadmap and account plans.
• Develop public and internal documentation, knowledge base articles, hirify.global Learning content, and reference architectures.
• Assist in hiring and mentoring new team members and be available for on-call duties in a global environment with up to 35% estimated onsite regional travel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, or Project Management roles.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in implementing, operating, or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems (DBMS).
• Technical breadth and depth in relevant subjects such as DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, System or Network Administration, and big data.
• Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering (e.g., EC2).

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global or other open-source technologies.
• Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ.
