FDIR System Engineer (Space)

FDIR System Engineer (Space): Defining satellite FDIR across the project lifecycle, including concept, detailed design, implementation, verification, and in-orbit operations with an accent on FDIR concept, design, consolidation, and fine-tuning. Location: Onsite in Milan, Rome, Benevento, or Turin, Italy. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.

What you will do

• Carry out FDIR concept, design, consolidation, and fine-tuning for satellites.
• Contribute to system, satellite, avionic, and SW architectures.
• Identify and analyze spacecraft operational constraints.
• Contribute to verification process and campaigns.
• Participate in project technical and progress meetings, and system/equipment reviews.
• Provide support to in-orbit operations (LEOP, commissioning, etc.).

Requirements

• Master’s, PhD or equivalent education in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the industry.
• Strong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, mission, and operations.
• Experience in various satellite engineering domains (e.g., Operations, SW, AOCS/GNC).
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
