Salary: $90,000–$140,000

What you will do

• Define conversation flows and dialogue architectures for multi-turn, context-aware, natural dialogs.
• Develop, write, and optimize prompts to guide large-language models (LLMs) or other generative models.
• Fine-tune and/or adjust models (e.g., prompt tuning, fine-tuning, parameter optimization) to align with product and user goals.
• Integrate conversational AI with existing backend systems via APIs and data pipelines.
• Iterate on conversation design through testing, A/B tests, user simulations, and evaluation of model outputs.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/conversation designers, and data engineers.
• Apply MLOps best practices to model versioning, testing, monitoring, and deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Python development.
• Demonstrated experience in conversation architecture/design, including dialogue flows and context management.
• Deep expertise in prompt engineering, leveraging techniques like few-shot, zero-shot prompting, and chain-of-thought.
• Experience with model tuning or otherwise optimizing model outputs for quality, safety, and reliability.
• Practical experience with at least one conversation/agent platform (e.g., Dialogflow).
• Experience with API integration, connecting conversational agents to backend services or databases.
• Solid conversation design experience, understanding user-centered design, NLU/NLG, and UX considerations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitOps, GCP-native tools, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.
