TL;DR

Backend Java Developer: Developing and optimizing core backend components and scalable REST APIs for modern enterprise applications with an accent on database optimization, system integrations, and clean code practices. Focus on building robust Java solutions, ensuring stability and performance, and collaborating on high-quality software delivery.

Location: Remote within Lithuania

Salary: 4500–6500 € gross per month

What you will do

Develop backend solutions using Java and build scalable REST APIs.
Design and optimize database structures and SQL queries (PostgreSQL).
Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
Write clean, maintainable code following SOLID and other best practices.
Develop and maintain automated tests (JUnit, Testcontainers).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Solid experience with Java 17+.
Experience with Spring Boot and Spring ecosystem.
Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT (authentication/authorization).
Experience with Hibernate ORM and PostgreSQL.
Strong skills in REST API design and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
Comfortable with build tools (Maven) and automated testing.
Good understanding of clean code principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS).
Fluent English (spoken and written).

Nice to have

Experience with FlywayDB migrations.
Work with Docker/docker-compose and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with cloud/container environments (OpenShift).
Experience with MapStruct, Lombok, Prometheus/Micrometer.
