TL;DR
Lead Technical Producer (Game Development): Driving one of Epic’s major R&D tech programs for Fortnite Core Tech, focused on low-level game and engine systems and internal developer workflows and processes. Focus on scaling operations to support the Metaverse vision, defining program strategies, and managing technical work at both high-level and detailed perspectives.
Location: Onsite in Montreal, Canada

What you will do
- Partner with Programming Directors, Product Owners, and executive stakeholders to define strategies and initiatives for R&D programs.
- Develop a roadmap feedback loop to report on program health, risks, and progress to the broader organization.
- Help scale operations to support the broader Metaverse vision.
- Directly manage producers or operate individually while influencing other teams on technical work and processes.
- Operate 50% at a high-level strategic view and 50% in the details managing technical work.
Requirements
- Deep experience working with programmers and on technical projects.
- Ability to drive high-level goals/vision and also dig into technical details.
- Experience managing outcomes for programs and confirming the validity of underlying plans.
- Understanding of how complex systems work, what they do, and why.
- Strong skills in organizing unstructured work and managing multiple competing needs.
- Deep experience managing large team roadmaps, rallying individual teams around common goals.
Nice to have
- Experience with devops, game engines, platforms, and tools.
- Experience in managing/growing team organizations to scale for demand.
- Experience working with strong personalities and still achieving desired results.
