TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (SDK) (AI): Responsible for the reliability, performance, and developer experience of our SDKs, owning the SDK documentation, integration guides, and migration paths, with an accent on API design, graceful degradation, and minimizing CPU/memory overhead. Focus on integrating with major AI frameworks and the OpenTelemetry endpoint while building SDKs developers love and maintaining backward compatibility.

Location: Europe, Berlin, London, Munich, Paris, Zurich. Expect one week per month in our Berlin office.

What you will do

• Own our SDKs in Python and TypeScript, being responsible for their reliability, performance, and developer experience.
• Design APIs that developers love, focusing on developer experience and thoughtful SDK work.
• Integrate with every major AI framework, maintaining integrations and ensuring support for new features.
• Maintain our OpenTelemetry endpoint, ensuring robustness and support for the full range of hirify.global features.
• Write public documentation, including SDK docs, integration guides, and migration paths.

Requirements

• Strong engineer who gets excited about developer experience, API design, and writing code that runs reliably in other people's production systems.
• Experience building or maintaining SDKs, client libraries, or developer tools — ideally in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of performance and ability to profile, benchmark, and minimize CPU/memory overhead in hot paths.
• Ability to manage projects independently and develop strong conviction about what to build and how to ship it.
• Thoughtful about versioning, backwards compatibility, and migration paths.
• Interest in open-source software and genuine excitement about talking to developers about their integration challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry internals or observability instrumentation.
• Former founder or early startup experience.
• Contributions to popular open-source SDKs or developer tools.
• ML/AI background or familiarity with the LLM framework ecosystem.
