TL;DR

Junior Site Reliability Engineer: Building and managing scalable, self-healing, globally-distributed systems to keep hirify.global fast, available, and growing with an accent on automating infrastructure and empowering product teams. Focus on troubleshooting site issues using industry-leading tools and ensuring the reliability and scalability of the infrastructure.

Location: Must be located in the Republic of Ireland

What you will do

Work closely with engineers in supporting new features and services.
Build tools to monitor site stability and performance.
Help ensure the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure, while maintaining platform SLOs.
Troubleshoot site issues using industry-leading tools like Splunk, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
Automate everything with Python, Puppet, Git, Jenkins, and Terraform and leveraging an extensive suite of AI tooling.
Develop custom tools when off-the-shelf solutions don’t work at our scale and contribute upstream to open source projects.

Requirements

Familiarity with Linux and an enthusiasm for learning more.
Command of your favorite modern programming language: Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, etc.
Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms.
Practical background in Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management.
Relevant experience with Linux containerisation and orchestration.
A solid understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP (transport, serving and load-balancing), and DNS, containerization & workload orchestration or datastores and streaming technologies.
