What you will do

• Design and architect distributed systems capable of handling 10x growth, making high-stakes technical decisions.
• Take full ownership of mission-critical services like Subscription Management, Identity, or API Gateways.
• Translate complex technical constraints into business terms, negotiating trade-offs to ship value quickly.
• Drive technical pragmatism, prioritizing maintainability and simplicity in code, using the core stack (C#/.NET Core, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL).

Requirements

• A "Distributed Systems" Mindset: Ability to design for failure, manage concurrency, and handle data consistency at scale.
• High Agency & Bias for Action: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or architectural blockers.
• Data Modeling Mastery: Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL trade-offs and preventing data corruption.
• Product-Oriented Engineering: Optimize for user value, taking pragmatic shortcuts to validate product hypotheses.
• AI-Native Velocity: Leverage AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate development and focus on complex problem-solving.
• Work format: Hybrid role requiring office presence twice a week in London, Munich, Cologne, Amsterdam, or Berlin.
