What you will do

• Write modern PHP (8.3+) using strict types and PSR standards.
• Build and maintain high-performance APIs, background jobs, and database-driven features.
• Review pull requests, enforce standards, and suggest better patterns.
• Identify opportunities to improve code quality, architecture, and performance.
• Optimise PostgreSQL queries, API responses, and background jobs for speed and efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional PHP experience.
• Strong OOP fundamentals, design patterns, and clean architecture.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills (query optimisation, migrations).
• Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
• Security mindset and attention to detail (edge cases, performance, failure modes).
• Native-level English (spoken and written).
• Located within CET ±2 hours (UK to Germany-style timezones).

Nice to have

• Experience in payments; crypto exposure is a plus.
• Experience with Event-driven/async processing, queues, and observability.
