Software Engineer II (AI)

TL;DR

Software Engineer II (AI): Building and optimizing robust, distributed services and performance-optimized systems for smart shopping experiences with an accent on platform scalability, data modeling, and workflow automation. Focus on harnessing AI, LLMs, and LLM-based Agents to build best-in-class shopping experiences across Bing, MSN, and Edge.

Location: Cairo, Egypt. Employees are expected to work from the office at least four days per week if they live within a 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of robust, distributed services and performance-optimized systems for shopping services.
• Collaborate across disciplines to design and implement features enhancing platform scalability.
• Implement data modeling and workflow automation solutions.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for monitoring system/product degradation and recommending restoration actions.
• Proactively seek new knowledge to improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python – OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
