What you will do
- Develop and manage authentication, authorization, audit logging, and monitoring features for internal and external users.
- Ensure secure, user-friendly system access, supporting standards like SAML, SCIM, MFA, and passwordless authentication.
- Implement proper authorization levels that are secure and easy for users and engineers to understand.
- Capture and surface event data for analysis by internal teams and customers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on database access management and third-party system integrations.
- Ensure systems comply with relevant security and compliance frameworks, such as NIST.
- Create and maintain internal documentation for identity & access management system integration.
- Respond to on-call escalations for the identity and access management platform.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on complex system design and development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization services (e.g., SAML, SCIM, OAuth2, OIDC).
- Direct experience with Auth0, Okta, Cloud IAM (AWS, GCP, Azure), and AuthZ systems.
- Experience implementing access control on web applications, APIs, and databases.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and scalable architectures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
- High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
