Senior Engineer (Backend)

TL;DR

Senior Engineer (Backend): Architecting, deploying, and managing fully automated, low-downtime data migration services at cloud scale with an accent on scalability, performance, and usability challenges. Focus on designing and building new solutions in a distributed environment.

Location: This role can be based out of our Dublin office or remotely in Ireland.

What you will do

• Work closely with product, design, and engineers across the organization to build features that customers love.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in cloud computing and software development to bring them into our product.
• Solve difficult technical problems in a distributed environment.
• Own the planning and delivery of major features from ideation through design and implementation.
• Mentor and contribute to the growth of team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, primarily focused on backend systems.
• Skilled at writing large-scale, distributed backend systems in a compiled language (Java, C#, Go, etc.).
• Comfortable working across the stack of a modern web application (e.g. React, TypeScript, Enzyme).
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider technology (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Led the launch of new features and maintained them in production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
