What you will do

• Develop new systems and support existing ones using Node.js, Python/Django, and React.
• Own critical shared services powering transactions across the entire suite of customer-facing services.
• Design, implement, and test system architecture.
• Work in an Agile environment with a strong attention to clean code, unit testing, and continuous integration.
• Solve cross-cutting problems and design clear abstractions for the whole company.

Requirements

• "Platform Engineering" mindset.
• Extensive experience building technically complex products, with a focus on the backend of web programming languages.
• Expert level in server-side, client-side, or fullstack development.
• Strong communication skills.
• Obsession for quality and testing.
• Must be based within commuting distance of a hirify.global hub in London or Boston.
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Cline).
• Experience building AI-backed product features using AWS, GCP, or OpenAI platforms.
• Experience in the travel industry.
• Experience working with infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
• Experience working with high-performing, Agile development teams.
