What you will do
- Integrate animation data and cameras into the Decima engine to support cinematic content production.
- Collaborate with cinematic animators, sequence designers, and narrative designers to ensure seamless handoff and technical viability.
- Manage and integrate vendor deliveries, ensuring technical compliance, data integrity, and structured file organization.
- Maintain and evolve the cinematics pipeline, supporting sequence reviews, shot structures, and in-engine playback fidelity.
- Provide technical support for tools, data flow, and production tracking (via JIRA and Flow/Shotgrid).
- Drive tools development and Python scripting to automate and optimize repetitive workflows within Maya and internal toolsets.
Requirements
- A technically-minded creative with a background in animation, cinematics, or technical art in game development or animation production.
- Proficient in Maya, with hands-on experience working with animation, cameras, and assets for real-time game cinematics.
- Comfortable writing and maintaining Python scripts for pipeline tools, automation, and batch processing.
- Experienced with node-based, sequence-driven engines such Unreal Engine (Sequencer, Blueprints), or similar engines that support real-time cinematic implementation and logic.
- Familiar with JIRA, Flow (Shotgrid) production tracking systems and workflows.
- Able to troubleshoot cross-discipline issues spanning animation data, file structures, and asset dependencies.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in a vendor-facing or outsourcing integration role.
- Familiarity with MotionBuilder or other mocap tools.
- Experience supporting cinematic pipelines in film, TV, or real-time game development.
- Understanding of cinematic composition, pacing, and storytelling, even if not your primary focus.
