TL;DR

Technical Cinematic Animator (Game Development): Develop and optimize real-time cinematic sequences by integrating animation data and cameras into the Decima engine with an accent on pipeline automation, vendor delivery integration, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Focus on building scalable cinematic tools, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting production workflows in a studio environment.

Location: Onsite at studio with relocation and immigration support

What you will do

  • Integrate animation data and cameras into the Decima engine for cinematic content production.
  • Collaborate with animators, sequence designers, and narrative designers to ensure technical viability and smooth handoff.
  • Manage and integrate vendor deliveries ensuring technical compliance and data integrity.
  • Maintain and evolve cinematics pipeline, supporting sequence reviews and in-engine playback fidelity.
  • Develop tools and Python scripts to automate workflows within Maya and internal toolsets.
  • Coordinate with Technical Animation, Rigging, and Engine teams to optimize performance and scalability.

Requirements

  • Onsite work at studio location with relocation and immigration support.
  • Proficiency in Maya and Python scripting for pipeline automation.
  • Experience with real-time game engines supporting cinematic sequences (e.g., Unreal Engine).
  • Familiarity with production tracking tools such as JIRA and Shotgrid.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills to manage animation data and vendor integration.
  • English language proficiency at least B2 level.

Nice to have

  • Experience in vendor-facing or outsourcing integration roles.
  • Familiarity with MotionBuilder or mocap tools.
  • Background in cinematic pipelines for film, TV, or real-time game development.
  • Understanding of cinematic composition and storytelling.
