What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a centralized Platform Engineering team, ensuring psychological safety and clear goals.
• Own the internal engineering platform as a product, defining its vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
• Engage with engineering teams to understand needs and prioritize work based on developer productivity and organizational impact.
• Define, communicate, and uphold high engineering standards for the platform team and wider organization.
• Provide technical guidance and constructively challenge design decisions.
• Collaborate with other departments and leadership to align platform priorities with broader company goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams with a strong focus on outcomes and servant leadership.
• Solid architectural understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Terraform / Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD systems.
• Product-driven mindset with a deep understanding of platform engineering as an enabler.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to be on-site at the Berlin office for at least 80% of weekly working hours.
