What you will do

• Liaise with authors and editorial teams to ensure submitted figures meet technical specifications.
• Prepare scientific figures for publication using Adobe Illustrator.
• Ensure consistency of style with diagrams.
• Check files for accuracy and legibility.
• Redraw scientific figures in Nature house-style from author sketches.

Requirements

• Art/design qualification or demonstrable equivalent.
• Proven experience in scientific illustration, graphic design, or art editing, preferably in a scientific or academic publishing environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
• Strong attention to detail with a creative eye and the ability to maintain consistency across multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
