What you will do

• Design, provision, operate, and manage highly available, performant, and scalable distributed application systems on AWS.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance.
• Collaborate with development, product, security, and network teams.
• Monitor and optimise cloud infrastructure costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, system engineer or in a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, networking, compute, storage services, serverless computing and microservices architecture.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, Google Cloud) and multi-cloud strategies.
