Electronics Engineering Manager

Location: San Francisco, United States; U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required

Base salary: $160,000–$215,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage, mentor, and expand a team of junior and senior electronics engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define and architect next-generation electronic systems.
• Oversee electronic hardware from design and development through implementation, verification, and production.
• Drive specifications, component selection, circuit board design, and system-level integration.
• Lead hands-on debugging, board bring-up, and system validation.
• Recruit and interview engineers and provide technical support to production and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced product design and development environment.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing complex electronic hardware from concept to production.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test hardware from scratch.
• Experience building and managing engineering teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder, or otherwise meet the stated protected-individual requirement.

Nice to have

• Experience with photovoltaics.
• Experience with Li-ion batteries and battery management systems.
• Experience with magnetics in power electronics.
• Knowledge of radiation effects on electronic components.
