What you will do

• Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and maintainable application architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while conducting code reviews and resolving bugs.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimizing code for speed and efficiency.
• Design and implement secure applications, considering potential vulnerabilities.
• Lead business-critical projects, including infrastructure audits and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience delivering large-scale, customer-facing backend software with data integration.
• Demonstrated success applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and an API-first mindset on multi-tenant platforms.
• Deep background as a backend engineer using best-practice design principles like SOLID, GRASP, and common design patterns.
• Proficiency in Ruby (preferred) or highly skilled in another backend language (Go, Python, Rust, Node).
• Proven product engineering mindset to translate requirements into clear technical designs and deliver high-quality implementations.
• Experience with Pub/Sub, websockets, and Server Side Event (SSE).
• Ability to attend a final interview in person at the Bratislava office.
