Location: Redmond, United States. Employees are expected to work from the office at least four days per week if living within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location.

Salary: USD $84,200 – $165,200 per year (U.S. typical); USD $109,000 – $180,400 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

What you will do

• Appropriate artificial intelligence tools and practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute in partnership with internal stakeholders to understand customer/user requirements for features.
• Test and explore various design options, outlining strengths and weaknesses.
• Create and implement code for features ensuring security and performance standards are met.
• Contribute to operations of live service as issues arise and identify solutions/mitigations.
• Help develop and contribute to automation within production and deployment of product features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
• Must be based in the U.S. and commute to a Microsoft office at least four days per week if within 50 miles of a designated office.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Proven experience contributing to a large-scale software engineering project.
• Reliable experience developing and troubleshooting cloud services.
