What you will do
- Create compelling combat design for playable classes.
- Define the combat behaviors of enemies, allies, and bosses.
- Collaborate closely in cross-discipline teams, including VFX artists and animators.
- Implement key systems in partnership with engineering teams.
- Work closely with the Game Director and other Lead Designers to shape and implement compelling combat designs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design experience.
- Shipped at least one title as a combat designer in action, RPG, or fighting genres.
- General scripting proficiency.
- Solid cross-disciplinary communication skills.
- Work onsite or hybrid in Troy, NY.
Nice to have
- Experience in isometric ARPG combat.
- Experience designing co-op Boss encounters.
- Experience in a lead or sub-lead role on a mid- or large-size development project.
