Salary: CAD $153,500.00 – $230,500.00

What you will do

• Set the technical direction of highly visible cross-organizational initiatives, coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Mentor, lead, and influence engineers to ensure the success of collaborative solutions.
• Write efficient, maintainable code, validated with unit and integration tests.
• Perform code reviews that reinforce a high standard of quality and engineering excellence.
• Contribute to Open Source projects related to the tech stack and domain of products.

Requirements

• Experience in all aspects of software engineering lifecycles including inception, proof of concepts, and launching production software.
• Proven experience mentoring and assisting team members in growing their expertise.
• Strong understanding of core web technologies: JavaScript (ES2015+), HTTP/2, CDNs, and working with multiple caching layers.
• Experience with React and/or Node.js.
• Consistent track record of delivering modern web service based architecture (REST, GraphQL, etc).
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (such as AWS), CI/CD Pipelines (such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions), and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience developing or working with headless Content Management Systems (CMS) (such as ContentStack or Contentful).
• Experience with experimentation strategies such as A/B or multiple variant testing.
• Demonstrated cross functional capabilities (Marketing, Engineering, Product Management).
• Experience managing or contributing to Open Source.
