What you will do

  • Develop and implement deep learning methods for robotics applications, especially vision-based decision-making, motion control, and object manipulation
  • Create and test software for overall robot control in industrial environments
  • Integrate deep learning models into robotics hardware and software
  • Conduct research on new deep learning techniques for robotics

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in Porto or Algés, Portugal
  • University degree or doctorate in computer science, robotics, or related fields with specialization in robotics and machine learning
  • Practical experience in robotics, deep learning, and deep reinforcement learning
  • Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience with simulation environments like Nvidia Isaac Sim, Omniverse, Mujoco, or Unity
  • Knowledge of robotics frameworks such as ROS or OROCOS
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and C++

Nice to have

  • Experience with vision frameworks (e.g., OpenCV)
  • Experience with Linux, Git, and Docker
