Location: Must be based out of Austin, TX

What you will do
- Design, implement, and iterate on gameplay-driven levels including quests, encounters, and scripted events.
- Maintain complex quest logic, triggers, and gameplay states that respond to player actions.
- Collaborate with narrative designers to integrate branching story variables and dialogue outcomes into gameplay.
- Utilize Unreal Engine to author level scripts, data variables, and overall gameplay flow.
- Partner with engineering and tech design to refine tools, pipelines, and development workflows.
- Conduct frequent playtests to debug logic and enhance the overall player experience.
Requirements
- Must be located in or willing to work from Austin, TX
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Level Designer on shipped titles.
- Hands-on experience implementing quests, objectives, and scripted events in Unreal Engine.
- Proficiency in integrating narrative content and branching logic into gameplay systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging gameplay state and progression.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to document complex gameplay intent.
