TL;DR

Senior Security Engineer (Digital Forensics & Incident Response): Leading and actively participating in security incident response and forensic investigation to shape hirify.global’s DFIR capability with an accent on cloud, endpoint, and SaaS environments. Focus on performing deep forensic analysis, coordinating complex incidents, building scalable response practices, and proactive threat-hunting.

Location: Remote across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), with the flexibility to work from home, office, or a hybrid setup within this region.

What you will do

  • Act as a senior escalation point and incident coordinator for security incidents across cloud, endpoint, and SaaS environments.
  • Lead and actively participate in the full security incident response lifecycle, from detection to recovery.
  • Perform deep forensic analysis to determine scope, impact, and root cause, translating findings into clear outcomes.
  • Partner with Detection, Platform, and Engineering teams to drive durable security improvements from lessons learned.
  • Contribute to DFIR tooling requirements, workflows, automation, and incident response documentation.
  • Proactively run threat-hunting and investigation exercises to identify anomalous or suspicious behavior.

Requirements

  • Strong experience leading and coordinating complex security incident investigations in modern cloud-native environments.
  • Comfortable performing deep technical investigations and forensic analysis across endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS platforms.
  • Enjoy building and improving security tooling, automation, and response workflows.
  • Ability to think in systems and feedback loops to drive long-term security improvements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an emphasis on empathy and mentorship.
  • Must be located across Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).
  • English: B2 required.
