What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain complex production systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Write high-quality code and own significant system components end-to-end, from architecture through production operations.
• Make technical decisions balancing correctness, performance, cost, and business impact across distributed systems.
• Identify architectural gaps and lead pragmatic improvements to strengthen system resilience and developer experience.
• Elevate engineering standards through thoughtful code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software systems in collaborative environments.
• Strong ability to design distributed systems and reason through tradeoffs involving asynchronous workflows, messaging, and failure modes.
• Proficiency in modern backend development using languages such as C#, Java, or JavaScript.
• Deep understanding of cloud and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, message queues, and event-driven workflows.
• Experience with one of the major cloud platforms, like Azure, GCP or AWS.
• Clear communicator with experience navigating ambiguity and driving technical decisions in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or operating multi-tenant, service-based architectures.
• Exposure to systems incorporating AI-driven capabilities in production environments.
• Track record of debugging complex production issues and leading system-level improvements.
