What you will do

• Prepare payroll for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and policies.
• Manage benefits across the entire organization, including healthcare and paid time off.
• Provide guidance on best practices for compensation structures and market research.
• Manage equity options, bonuses, and other types of compensation.
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of employee benefit programs and compensation structures.
• Work in collaboration with the People Operations Specialist in implementing the new HRIS system.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a role with similar responsibilities.
• Experience preparing payroll for Portugal; familiarity with US payroll is a plus.
• A well-founded understanding of Portuguese labor law regarding compensation and benefits.
• Professional working fluency in written and spoken English and Portuguese.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of software packages, including Excel, Google Sheets, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
• Experience implementing people-focused benefit plans.
